Nope you're forgetting the LARCSAP Lake Anna Recreational Climb Supper and Party comming this summer. Right on the Banks Of Lovely Lake Anna.

Thanks for helping us rig~ourselves HU! Oh and Thanks for leaving me that huge jug of Bacardi and a sippy cup!

NOTE TO SELF.......Remember, it will spill if you drop it with the lid off.

I forgot to mention how rain and small tarps make for intimate drumming conditions. NIIICE.

Alright I stilll need to draw that bath.... and I promise I am getting back to my "real" job tonight so that I can share in y'alls suffering.

Ya gotta post my squirrel scramble! It was fun looking down and seeing all the rogues speechless at my squirrelly act, or reaching for a double-gauge to bag some lunch... not sure which.

No worries I'm a level 3 Certified Squirrel Access Technician (American Tree Rodent Cert Board), I have the nuts to prove it.

Awesome to finally meet the Hunab, somehow didn't get to climbing with you, make it a priority at LARCSAP?

Yep LARCSAP will be this summer, on the hottest most humidist days we can pray for.... stay tuned.

I am planning a meeting with Gasman, and our local SP Interpretive Ranger.

If you want to do a little angling or fishing from a tree I'll have a spot for you too. You'll need a VGDIF out of state license though Sad but you can get it online and print it yourself Very Happy

Bring a paddling device as well.

But on to the task at hand.... Return of the son of the monster of Treestock LIVES! Run, don't walk from this link...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/chi-tree/

There are some photos of Treestock climbing in there.... but I'm not gonna post the ones of camp.... what happens at Treestock absolutely needs to stay at Treestock. I wouldn't want anybody poaching the design of the Palatial Rogue Dome just because they saw it on the internet.

I must say that every climber needs to have a Gator Yo~yo Fishing Reel de Mexicaine. Don't ask me, ask Hunabku, but I will say the thing is awesome!

This is what I look like just as thunder and lightning chase us from the trees... same deer in the headlights look that Alice~Lou always inspires in me.

PS there is no video of Mossyboy's squirrellyscramble technique....sorry kids. AND
Seriously, we were all mostly too bust to do any photodocumentary stuff.

Mossy check your PM's ther is vital info concerning all that top secret stuff we don't want joe to hear about before he goes to Panama an leaves me stateside to push pencils for the Galactic Headquarters. Anybody got any extra tickets for Panama on Craigslist or anything??

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for attending what I think was a historic event. Getting our sport accepted by the powers that be is not an easy task. We made a major step in that direction this past weekend. I have spoken with all of the people that allowed us to climb this group of fantastic trees and they were more than pleased with us. We have been invited back next year!! SWEET! I hope to extend next years visit. I didn't get to climb nearly as much as I wanted!
Here is a list of the people that allowed us to come to Tanglewood. It would be a great gesture to drop them a simple "thank you" email. I would very much appreciate it.
Mr Hank Barnum, park director: barnumhc@forsyth.cc Mr. Chris Weavil, maintenance supervisor/arborist and the person that asked me to hold the event at Tanglewood: weavilc@forsyth.cc and Mr. Damon Sanders-Pratt, the assistant county manager: sanderdl@forsyth.cc
It was great meeting the new people and hanging with you all. My fall event is still on, second or third weekend of October, mark your calendars.
Hope to see you soon,
Bob In VA.

Bob, you really need to stop using the F word in here....Autumn is so much more climber friendly!

You are the man Bob! You are doing amazing things, and I will definately make it to the Annual Autumn BRP Climb~In!!

This is my first attempt on posting a picture; wanted to see if it works. If it did, this is a picture of the Sunday group climb in the 101' (per Moss' calculations) southern red oak.

This is the big poplar at the cabin by the lake. First TIP might of been above 75' - either my rope is less than 150' or this TIP is just above 75'

Rob in the poplar - he played around with his hook as I climbed to the top.

An out of focus David before our 85' high traverse
