No snow yet in the Pacific NW, but lots and lots of rain, which keeps me out of the trees almost as much! :(

Yesterday was a crispy cool but sweet day to be in the trees in the Boston area, today is cold northeast wind and plenty of water and later snow falling out of a dark sky.

Day before the storm, climbing with Lionel Lagermatte, founder of Mad'Arbes visiting with his family from Madagascar...

Lionel's first white pine climb, he's normally climbing the tree called baobab that looks like a giant vegetable!

3 Strand split tail! I love it! I thought I was the only one still using 3 strand.

the great thing about 3 strand is you can see the splice!

nice pics moss hope to see you on friday though the storm might hinder things for me.

Another variety of old-school climbing technique by way of France and Madagascar.

Unfortunately the Friday TCIA rec climb is cancelled due to storm damage, trees down, no electricity etc. at the property where the climb was going to happen.
