That $100 thing kind of works for the seller and the buyer if you think about it. No complaints here. I got some pretty cool little gadgets trying to get to $100. I

Yes I agree I was being sarcastic. I have no problem receiving at least 100$ worth of tools with every shipment. getting the pinto some ice to splice and a robot in the next few days. :D

Are you getting the Robot to use as a descender or as a friction sink while climbing SRT with a hitch?

Friction sink (for the most part). I want something a bit smoother then my f8 revolver set up.

I pretty much gave up on the F8 revolver. I could never get it to work for me. Coming down was great, but going up was a different story.

I really like the f8 revolver and it's variations. I work climb mostly with my wooden rope wrenches but in Rec climbs I like to be able to have gear thats mid line attachable. With the f8 systems you have to remove the friction sink to do straight up ascents. When I use this system I choose it in trees where I am doing a lot of tree climbing and hitch tending as opposed to rope climbing.

I have also gone back to ddrt for many trees. I try to choose the best system for that particular climb and In tree objectives.

Just got back from a several week work-trip. I took a chance and brought the Pinto Rig as my main pulley and left the bigger wheels behind.

I'm pleased to say this little pulley is no joke. It's my new favorite piece of gear. I carried it every day and it's small enough to be unobtrusive when not needed and efficient enough to get the job done when called upon. It handled everything thrown at it.

For heavy loads and intensive use I don't think the Pinto will replace a bigger wheel like the CMI's. The small diameter of the sheave seems to add a bit of friction on heavy loads. But for most jobs in most situations I think it's a great compromise between size and ability.

A pocket powerhouse.
