 New Tribe's Twist saddle
Anybody here have any familiarity with New Tribe's Twist saddle? I learned of it for the first time while browsing their website just now.
I like the adjustability feature, as my personal dimensions have me right on the cusp between a large and a medium, and I actually have both to accommodate fluctuations in my weight and seasonal clothing changes.
Even more than that, however, I'm intrigued by the style of the attachment point: it looks like it might work better than the traditional style for SRT! Does anybody know?

Looks good for SRT, I'd want to to hang in it to get a sense of how it would all work out. Clearly intended for facilitated climbs, not enough attachment loops for my day-to-day climbing. -AJ

 Re: New Tribe's Twist saddle
Tengu would still be my 1st choice for a rec. saddle. The yellow jacket #2. I would miss the side D's on the twist model or basic models.
I always prefer metal side d's but soft d's are better than no d's.
Unfortunately I am currently flying the Nikosi saddle which is essentially a big dumb version of a sliding bridge saddle offered by other manufacturers. It is heavy, bulky, clunky and generally sucks for SRT due to the sloppy center attachment point. There are some good features but the negatives surely outweigh the positives with the Nikosi. Friends don't let friends buy the Nikosi.

I can't seem to find anything on any website (that sells them) about how much weight the soft D's can bear. Can they be used for sole life support?

 Re: New Tribe's Twist saddle
Hi N2K...in a sense side-D's are life support. They're used to lanyard off. Though it's extremely uncomfortable to hang from them. I have never heard of a side-D failure. I have a yellow jacket and would trust the side-D's.
Welcome to the group N2K!
