As promised here is the second installment of the video.
This half features deadly reptiles, massive trees, the Bocas Bomb squad, the Panama canal, and Joe's best bellini impersonation
More tunes from Ozomalati too.

Ah yes, Bothriechis schlegelii. Probably one of the most beautiful snakes I have ever observed in the wild. They are not found on Bocas del Toro, but across the channel on the peninsula they are pretty common. I spotted two of them on our day trip to the peninsula. Against Wildbills warnings I coaxed the one in the video onto the stick and handed it to Joe for the shot. Don't be fooled however, although they are one of the most docile vipers I have ever encountered they can move quite quick when they are threatened. The one in the video remained completely calm the entire time we filmed it. We were very gentle.
If you do some reading you will find the eyelash viper to be quite a fascinating creature. It has many color phases ranging from grey to pink to striped to yellow as seen. They have been seen in they canopy by Joe at over 100'. You seriously have to watch where you put your hands while climbing on the peninsula.
Joe and Bill kind of laughed at the fact that I carry a snakebite kit in the first aid pouch I always have in my backpack. I bet they would be begging for it in the unlikely event a snakebite occurred
We were having a lot of fun and you should consider joining us in 2009.

Dude, I did have my snakebite kit right there in the green, zippered pouch on my New Tribe harness. And, for the record, the second eyelash viper of the day took quit a nice leap toward your camera lens that was only about six inches away. Methinks you wouldn't have been in good enough shape after that bite to get out your own kit, so you might have been very, very glad that I had one too. Oh yeah, the antivenom was only 20 minutes away by boat, and nobody has actually died in that area of Panama from an eyelash bite in many years!
Next year, maybe we'll get into some of them really beeeg trees in the middle of the penninsula where the vipers actually roam, rather than in that dinky li'l toothpick you insisted we had to climb on the beach...!

I was informed today that after nearly 2500 views my video "Get Rigged" has been disabled due to possible copyright infringement for the music in the background.
Ironically, because of the video I have turned many new people on to the band OZOMATLI several of whom have gone out and purchased their recordings.
Whatever!

Never heard of the band and have not seen the video yet. But because someone wanted to be a PITA, I guess I will not be buying their cd or downloading the songs from itunes. (I thought this was the way they made money). Nonetheless, wish I could have seen the video.

 Silly Video Question
Can the video be up loaded without the music. It was a great video but the music made it even more special (to me at least).

I will re submit it. I will have to do some editing first though.
Glen, don't kill the messenger. OZOMATLI rocks and I don't have any ill will towards them.
I still don't get it though. Nobody was making any money of of the video. Maybe if I gave credits to the artists it would have been OK. I'll have to do some more research so it doesn't happen again.
I meant no harm, I just loved the music and wanted to turn others on to the band.

 Ozomatli and the Panama Video
Quote: Nobody was making any money of the video
Well the company that makes their CD were making money and indirectly the band. Of the 2500 people that viewed your video at least a couple either downloaded a legal copy from ITunes or bought the CD from the store, so more exposure for the band and their music. The fact that we are even talking about them now is a free advertisement for the band.
Question: If no one listens to their music. Do they make any money?
How difficult is it to e-mail them and ask for permission for this video only just to see what they reply or not reply? who knows.
Here is their e-mail for general info.

Thanks for the good advice O.T. I will give that a try. I also need to learn a bit more about the rules. I now realize that I didn't give credit to Ozomatli at the end of the video. maybe that would also help.
I wonder if the concern is that it might be possible to record the song as the video is viewed. I don't know if that is possible, but if it is it may be looked at as some form of music sharing. That surely was not my intention when I posted the video.
It is something to consider when you all make your own videos.

My videos are back up. I copped out and opted to just mute the music for now. I'm hoping Pinyata and I can get together and record our own soundtrack soon. otherwise it is going to be a crappy silent film until I get some free time. They cut off Rig Off Part one today. I muted them so I could keep them active and not lose my view count.
