 Custom foot-loop tether
Here is my footloop tether I spliced up. so far so good performance wise. It is a bit bulky to carry on the saddle however....
smaller eye gets girthed onto the handled ascender, larger eye gets girthed to the foot and the hitch gets attched to saddle as life support. in my case I use this as secondary life support.

 Re: Custom foot-loop tether
If you want to go minimal get rid of the handled ascender and flip the whole thing around and tie a klemheist with the large eye and girth the small eye to your foot. (the handled ascender is a lot smoother).

 Re: Custom foot-loop tether
Primary life support set up.... Hitchclimber pulley with VT (ice tail) attached to bottom hole, rope wrench attached to tope hole, chest harness attached to middle hole.
