Joe is a recreational climber who utilizes recreational climbing as a venue for enhanced wilderness experiences. He is never happier than when out in the most remote forest available, climbing in a tree that has never before been climbed. Joe spends more than four months out of each year in the tropical rainforest, assisting research students with canopy research projects. He also teaches Basic Tree Climbing, Beyond The Basics, and assists in a variety of other courses. He has created a basic course of instruction for those who wish to explore the tropical rainforest canoy.
