Alice Lou Cornshucker is grits chef extraordinaire to the world treeclimbing community. As a teenager she won the “Pride of Hockalugie Hog-Calling Contest,” in her central Mississippi hometown. She has worked as spokesmodel for one of the world’s largest chains of breakfast restaurants, and is currently the proprietor of her own fine dining emporium and chainsaw repair shoppe. Alice Lou became involved in recreational and research treeclimbing about five years ago, when she met and fell in lust with several climbing instructors while working as a part-time night clerk at a swanky resort motel in Milledgeville, Ga. She is planning her first expedition to Panama.
